I didn’t grow up in a family where health and fitness were a big deal but I was constantly pressured to maintain a “healthy” body size. My early adulthood was a whirlwind of anxiety, anger, and a desperate chase for perfection. I fell for every “perfect” body hack out there, convinced that tighter rules would bring better results. Spoiler alert: they didn’t.

By my early thirties, my body started sending out some serious distress signals, prompting me to pivot my career toward nutrition. But let’s be honest - I just swapped one obsession for another, moving from chasing thinness to falling into the grip of healthism.

My real “aha” moment came when I realized that my relentless pursuit of health was actually making me unhealthy. I’ve faced my share of health battles: generalized anxiety disorder, gastrointestinal issues, insulin resistance, thyroid problems, and the not-so-fun symptoms of premature ovarian insufficiency. It took navigating these challenges to learn that true well-being isn’t about diets, rigid rules, or labeling foods as “good” or “bad.” It’s about finding a flexible approach that fuels your body and gives you the energy to do the things you love.

Nowadays, I exercise my superpower by whipping up delicious meals with whatever ingredients happen to be in my kitchen, and embracing a more intuitive approach to eating.

I’m not just here to dish out textbook advice. I’ve been down this road, and I’m here to walk alongside you, offering empathy, knowledge, and a belief that you deserve to live life on your own terms.
